Distribution:  South America: Tapajós River basin.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in creeks situated in the upper reaches of rivers (Ref. 12225).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 07 November 2018 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Reported from the upper reaches of the Maroni River (Ref. 12225). Also reported to occur in French Guiana (Ref. 35237).
