Family:  Mochokidae (Squeakers or upside-down catfishes), subfamily: Chiloglanidinae
Max. size:  18.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: southern Kasai drainage (middle Congo River basin) in Democratic Republic of the Congo and Angola (Ref. 78218). Reports from the Uélé and Pool Malebo and the rapids at its exit (Ref. 12818) need confirmation.
Diagnosis:

Country info:  Present in the southern Congo River basin (Ref. 120641) in the Luembe and Luachimo Rivers (tributaries of the Kasai River), and in the Kwango River (middle Congo River basin) (Ref. 11970). Also Ref. 78218.
