Environment:  demersal; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  Asia: Amur drainage and Sakhalin Island; Onon and Kherlen drainages in Mongolia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Feeds on fish of no commercial or angling importance (Ref. 41072). Oviparous (Ref. 205).

Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Occurs in the Amur River system from the headwaters to the estuaries, in Lake Khanka and in the rivers of the Sakhalin (the Tym' and the Poronai rivers) (Ref. 26334, 37812).
