Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: known only from Little Peedee River system in North Carolina and South Carolina, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits gravel riffles and current-swept vegetation in creeks.

Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Found only in the Little Peedee River system in North Carolina and South Carolina. Common within small range (Ref. 5723). Status of threat: vulnerable; status same as 1989. Criteria: 1,5 (http://fisc.er.usgs.gov/afs/) (Ref. 81264).
