Distribution:  Asia: Himalayan and Indo-Gangetic plains.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in ponds, ditches, pools and rivers (Ref. 4833).

Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Known from Central Thailand, Klong Borapet (Nakhon Sawan), Pattani river, Nan river and Sikuk river (Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya ) (Ref. 37773). Also Ref. 41236.
