Family:  Exocoetidae (Flyingfishes)
Max. size:  21 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  pelagic-neritic; marine; depth range 0 - 20 m, oceanodromous
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Southern China, Viet Nam, Thailand, Indonesia, near the Philippines, New Guinea, and Solomon Islands.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in near-shore surface waters, never spread to open sea (Ref. 9839).

Country info:  Known from the Gulf of Thailand, Lem Sing (Chanthaburi), Tha Chin river (Samut Sakhon), Klong Wan (Prachuap Khiri Khan) and Andaman Sea (Ref. 37773). Also Ref. 9839.
