Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Chao Phraya (Thailand) and Mekong basins. Also recorded from Kapuas River of Western Borneo, Indonesia (Ref. 2091).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs sympatrically with Acantopsis. Found in medium to large-sized rivers (Ref. 12975). Feeds on the bottom on insects and algae (Ref. 12975).

Country info:  Found in the Chao Phraya (Ref. 12041, 26580), Chieng Mai (Ref. 33021) and Mekong basins (Ref. 2091). Museum: Chieng Mai, ANSP 56999 (holotype, 4.43 cm SL) (Ref. 28631); also from Chiang Rai (Ref. 37773).
