Family:  Sisoridae (Sisorid catfishes), subfamily: Sisorinae
Max. size:  4.24 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: India, Bangladesh and Myanmar.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs mainly in hill streams (Ref. 4833). Found in muddy parts of rivers overgrown with vegetation (Ref. 41236).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 12 October 2009 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Known from Bagmati, Narayani, Koshi and Karnali river with muddy river bed (Ref. 85009). State of Threat: Data dificient pristine rare ornamental species (Ref. 85009).
