Diagnosis:  This species is distinguished from its congeners in having uniserial teeth on the upper jaw; less number of serrated gill rakers (0+7); extremely narrow interorbital width (7.76 in HL); a long pectoral fin on the blind side (1.81 HL) (Ref. 75209).
