Family:  Cyprinidae (Minnows or carps), subfamily: Labeoninae
Max. size:  6.4 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: endemic to the River Tigris, Iran.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Cave-restricted fish. Max. length (Yazdan Keivany, pers. comm., 2003).

Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Known only from the River Tigris (Ref. 31728). Recorded from Loven Cave, the Tigris River drainage, the Persian Gulf basin, Lorestan Province (Ref. 115529). Also Ref. 27297, 98824.
