Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific.

Biology:  Adults are found in coastal waters (Ref. 3287).

Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Reported from artificial reefs in Hoi Ha Wan (Ref. 119713). Also reported from Tung Ping Chau (Ref. 125586). Juveniles also recorded from Sha Ha (Ref. 125515). The species was observed on 11 to 100 occasions during 400 dive surveys on artificial reefs (Ref. 119494). Also Ref. 94637, 128523.
