Max. size:  67 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish
Distribution:  Africa: widely distributed in Lake Tanganyika and the Congo basin.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits large rivers and lakes (Ref. 2829). Also occurs in estuaries (Ref. 4967).
