Max. size:  34 cm SL (male/unsexed); max.weight: 28.8 g
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: India, Myanmar and China.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in mountain rapids (Ref. 41236).

Country info:  Known as "shi-yü" at Tungting Lake (Ref. 35840). Known from Yuanjiang of Hunan Province; Yichang of Hubei Province; Hukou of Jiangxi Province. Also 2 specimens known from Wudu of Gansu Province(Ref.45661). Also Ref. 4833, 31517, 41236.
