Country info:  Usually found in the river mouths and lower reaches of rivers in southeast China (Ref. 26563), including those in Guangdong Province and Hainan Province (Ref. 33469, 85799). Knownfrom Hanjiang river drainage; others 145 specimens from Dongjiang river drainage, Xijiang river drainage, Moyang jiang river drainage, Changhua jiang river drainage in Guangdong Province. And also from Nandujiang river in Hainan Province (Ref. 33469).
