Max. size:  19.7 cm TL (male/unsexed); max.weight: 42.6 g
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 50 - 150 m
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Hokkaido, Japan to the South China Sea. Questionable from the Western Central Pacific.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in the sublittoral zone on sandy mud bottoms (Ref. 11230).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 09 September 2020 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Known from the South China Sea in Hainan, Guangxi, and Guangdong provinces, also the East China Sea east of Xiangshan and east of Taizhou in Zhejiang Province (Ref. 33837).
