Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Associated with emergent and floating vegetation (Ref. 37053). Maximum length reported to reach 42 cm TL (Ref. 6398).

Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Captured in the Oyapock River which forms the border between French Guiana and Brazil (Ref. 12225).
