Type locality, northwest of Rottnest Island, Western Australia, CSIRO H 6349-04 (holotype of Platycephalus orbitalis, 26.74 cm SL) (Ref. 83297). Known only from Western Australia, from Cape Cuvier (24°S) to south of Cape Leeuwin (34°S) (Ref. 83297). |
