Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 440 - 492 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Solomon Sea.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 71-79; Anal soft rays: 58-62; Vertebrae: 50-51. This species differs from its congeners by the following characters: longer predorsal distance, 34.0-36.0 % SL; no pseudobranchial filaments; 1 opercular spine; absence of interorbital and occipital head pores; 71-79 dorsal-fin rays; 58-62 anal-fin rays; 23 pectoral-fin rays; 11-12 precaudal and 50-51 total vertebrae (Ref. 83559).
