Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 7 - 87 m
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: western Bering Sea off Cape Navarin; Sea of Okhotsk and northern Sea of Japan off Tatar Strait. Northeast Pacific: northeastern Bering Sea between St. Lawrence Island and Seaward Peninsula.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 9-11; Dorsal soft rays (total): 15-16; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 12-14
Biology:  Found on sandy bottoms (Ref. 43939).
