Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean: southern Australia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-10; Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-15; Anal spines: 0-1; Anal soft rays: 12-15. Remarks: caudal fin rounded.
Biology:  Found in muddy areas of estuaries and bays.
