Max. size:  12 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; brackish; marine
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: east coast of South Africa and the Ryukyu Islands.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 30-30; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 27-27. Barbels present on most of its head. Depression on upper part of opercle absent (Ref. 43239).
Biology:  Found in soft sediments of estuaries (Ref.43239).
