Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 6 - 8; dH range: 4 - 25
Distribution:  Africa: Congo River basin except Luvua and Luapula drainages (Ref. 78218, 82238), but including Pool Malebo (=Stanley Pool) and drainages of the Ubangi and Kasai (Ref. 82238). In the Lukuga River (Tanganyika outflow) known up to the Kisimba-Kilia rapids (Ref. 93587).
