Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: known only from the holotype collected off the east coast of equatorial Africa.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 105-105; Anal soft rays: 93-93; Vertebrae: 58-58. Caudal fin rays 14 (Ref. 43689).
Biology:  Found in deep water.
