| Diagnosis: | Dorsal spines (total): 9-9; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-11; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 10-10; Vertebrae: 25-25. Terminal phase body color: body is pinkish red, abdomen silvery; lower two-thirds of dorsal fin pale gray-violet. With five to six predorsal scales; two cheek scale rows behind eye; three below eye. No scaly sheath at bases of dorsal and anal fins. Scales large. | |||
