Distribution:  Asia: Tigris River drainage in Turkey.
Diagnosis:  Distinguished from other congeners in Turkey and adjacent basins by having 19-20 scale rows between the end of the adipose-fin base and lateral line (vs. 12-17); 32-35 scale rows between dorsal-fin origin and lateral line (vs. 23-32); and caudal peduncle depth 11.5-12.6 % SL (9.3-11.5 % SL, except in Salmo cf. macrostigma). ).
Biology:  This species inhabits clear and very swift flowing water, with stone and pebble bottom (Ref. 87713).
