Environment:  pelagic; freshwater; pH range: 7 - 8; dH range: 20
Distribution:  Oceania: swamps lands of the lower Binaturi, Pahoturi, and More-head rivers of south-western Papua New Guinea, possibly ranging westward to the Vogelkop Peninsula in Irian Jaya, Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 3-4; Dorsal soft rays (total): 6-7; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 11-14
Biology:  Found in swamps and rivers.
