Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; brackish; pH range: 7 - 8; dH range: 25
Distribution:  Central America: Mexico in Laguna Coyuca near Acapulco, Guerrero as far as the Rio Pijijiapan in Chiapas and Rio Coatzacoalcos in Oaxaca.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Prefers rapidly flowing waters.
