Max. size:  11.8 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; pH range: 6 - 7.5; dH range: 20
Distribution:  Central America: Grande de Térraba and Coto River basins, southwestern Costa Rica.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Recorded from creeks and channels where the current is of low or moderate velocity between 10 and 1000 m of elevation. Swift, active and feeds on terrestrial insects (Ref. 36880).
