Distribution:  Southeast Pacific: Seamounts in the southern part of the Nazca Ridge and the Sala y Gómez Ridge.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 73-79; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 70-74; Vertebrae: 54-57. Chin barbel short; pyloric caeca 10-11; rounded light organ on abdomen in front of the center of the distance between the end of the bases of the pelvic fins and anal opening; ventral cavity extends to the level of the 13th/14th ray of the anal fin. Caudal fin rounded.
