Max. size:  12 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Southeast Atlantic: Port Alfred to Knysna (South Africa). Southwest Pacific: New Zealand.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-9; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 9-9. Emerald green reticulations on back and caudal peduncle, becoming black laterally and bright silver ventrally (Ref. 4919).
Biology:  Probably pelagic.
