Max. size:  15.6 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; marine; depth range 140 - 250 m
Distribution:  Southern Ocean: Shag Rocks, South Georgia Province.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 5-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 35-37; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 33-35. Body grayish and with seven or eight transverse stripes, becoming upper and lower alternating spots posteriorly. Upper part of head dark. Two or three dark stripes on cheeks. Fins yellow to lemon yellow, becoming lighter towards tips. Caudal fin rounded (Ref. 11892).
