Environment:  benthopelagic; marine; depth range 0 - 545 m
Distribution:  Indo-West-Pacific: patchy, disjunctive and antitropical, off Hawaii, Tasman Sea to northeastern New Zealand, and off south-east Africa; possible in the southwestern Pacific.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found over hard substrates (Ref. 58302).
