Distinguished from a similar species Paracobitis longibarbatus by having dorsal fin iii,6 vs. iii,8; anal fin ii,4 vs. ii,6; and origin of dorsal fin posterior to ventral fin origin (Ref. 76756). Biology:  Occurs in cave (Ref. 76756).
