Max. size:  11.5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Wissel Lake and its tributary streams, Irian Jaya, Indonesia. Also in the Tage and Tigi Lakes and their outlet streams as well as the Dimija River between Paniai and Tage Lakes. Absent in Paniai Lake.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-12; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 8-11
Biology:  Found in lakes and outlet streams at elevations of 1640-1750 m. The only fish species found in its range and is used as bait for catching crayfish, an important source of food for the local population.
