Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 450 - 549 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: southern Mozambique.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 3-3; Dorsal soft rays (total): 21-21; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 14-14. Body and fins red or crimson in color.
