Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 0 - 15 m
Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: Bahamas.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Rare species (Ref. 34024). Inhabit exposed sandy shorelines in only a foot or two of water, and also the bare sand bottom adjacent to patch reefs (Ref. 5521). Oviparous, with oval pelagic eggs floating in a gelatinous mass (Ref. 205).
