Environment:  bathypelagic; marine; depth range 400 - 1100 m
Distribution:  Pacific and Atlantic.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-11; Anal soft rays: 9-11; Vertebrae: 47-50. Branchiostegal rays 4. Slender caudal peduncle with the least depth of which is 4.3-5.6 % SL. Longer snout of 2.3-4.1 % SL (Ref. 5123).
Biology:  Mesopelagic (Ref. 58302).
