Family:  Platytroctidae (Tubeshoulders)
Max. size:  32.2 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathypelagic; marine; depth range 980 - 2100 m
Distribution:  Atlantic Ocean: in tropical waters. Also known from the Indian Ocean and the northwest Pacific; probably occurring in the eastern Pacific.
