Max. size:  17.5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 46 - 1525 m
Distribution:  Western Atlantic: West Greenland (Ref. 34267) and Grand Banks to North Carolina, USA.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 112-124; Anal soft rays: 106-116; Vertebrae: 127-137. Predorsal length 17.1-23.1% SL. Suborbital head pores, 7 (rarely 6). Abdomen scaled.
Biology:  Lives on mud or sand (Ref. 5951); benthic (Ref. 58426). Feeds on molluscs and cumaceans (Ref. 58426).
