Family:  Liopropomatidae (Painted basslets), subfamily: Liopropomatinae
Max. size:  18.8 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: known only from Japan (including the Ryukyu Islands) and Korea. Report from Taiwan (Ref. 5193).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found on the shelf and shelf edge, on rocky bottoms (Ref. 11230). Collected at a depth of about 100 m.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 11 March 2015 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
