Max. size:  12 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: upper Amazon River basin, Brazil.
Diagnosis:  Possess broad irregular dark pigment blotches without alternating light and dark pigments bands and very short head (head length 8.8% TL versus 9-13).
Biology:  Collected in a whitewater floating meadow of the floodplain in the TefĂ© region (Ref. 41292).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 07 November 2018 Ref. (130435)
