Max. size:  28.6 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  pelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Uruguay.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in submerged stems and roots of aquatic vegetation in lakes and small streams. Its type locality has the following water parameters: electrical conductivity 170-190 µS/cm, pH 7.6-7.8, temperature 23-28°C. Possibly with paternal brood care (Ref. 82430)..
