Family:  Bythitidae (Viviparous brotulas), subfamily: Bythitinae
Max. size:  10.6 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; depth range 5 - 11 m
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: northern coast of the Gulf of Guinea.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Rare species, found on soft bottom (Ref. 34024). Viviparous (Ref. 6526).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 08 July 2014 Ref. (120744)
Threat to humans:  harmless
