Environment:  pelagic-oceanic; marine; depth range 0 - 412 m
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: north of Madeira Island. Western Atlantic: west of 55°W between 32°N-19°N, and off Brazil.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 21-21; Anal soft rays: 23-23. Body slender, compressed. Circular form of the loop of luminous tissue (Ref. 37473).
