Max. size:  18.3 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Marowijne River basin.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Frequently occurs downstream of cascades, in very sunny zones of shallow channels with medium to strong current. Caught along with other species like Crenicichla multispinosa, Parodon guyanensis, Moenkhausia georgiae and Harttia surinamensis (Ref. 35237).
