Family:  Poeciliidae (Poeciliids), subfamily: Poeciliinae
Max. size:  3.58 cm SL (male/unsexed); 5.47 cm SL (female)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; brackish, non-migratory
Distribution:  Central America: throughout Cuba, Jamaica, Cayman Islands and Bahamas.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in fresh, brackish and salt waters in coastal and lowland areas.
