Family:  Fundulidae (Topminnows and killifishes)
Max. size:  6 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  North America: occurs only in the USA from southeast Louisiana to southwest Alabama.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occur in swamps, sloughs, and vegetated backwaters and pools of streams. 7.8 cm max TL (Ref. 5723). Not a seasonal killifish. Is easy to maintain in the aquarium (Ref. 27139).
