Family:  Nothobranchiidae (African rivulines)
Max. size:  13 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 6 - 8; dH range: 5 - 19, non-migratory
Distribution:  Africa: Niger delta in southern and southeastern Nigeria and southwestern Cameroon. Reported from Ghana (Ref. 11235).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in temporary swamps, raphia-swamps and swampy parts of slow flowing brooks in the swampy coastal rainforest. 14 cm TL (Ref. 3788). Not a seasonal killifish. Bottom spawner, 2 months incubation. Is easy to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
