Family:  Gobiidae (Gobies), subfamily: Gobiinae
Max. size:  5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish
Distribution:  Asia: Malay and Indochinese peninsulas, possibly also Indonesia. Known from the Mekong delta and may also be found in the tidal zone of Cambodia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in estuaries and in the freshwater tidal zone of rivers. Feeds on small fishes, crustaceans and insects. Not seen in the markets (Ref. 12693).
