Family:  Gobiidae (Gobies), subfamily: Gobiinae
Max. size:  1.36 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; marine; depth range 5 - 32 m
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: Marquesas Islands.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-8; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 7-8. This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following set of characters: dorsal/anal formula 8/8; branched pectoral-fin rays; 5th pelvic-fin ray less than 1/10 length of 4th ray, often rudimentary; a dark spot on caudal peduncle, usually restricted to above lateral midline; urogenital papilla not fimbriate or rugose (Ref. 94084).
Biology:  Known from rocky reefs (Ref. 9484).
